A Berkeley Standard Starter is remanufactured to have performance and durability that meets or exceeds that of a new OEM product. Berkeley Standard’s complete remanufacturing process ensures each alternator has the performance, quality, and lifespan that is indistinguishable from a new product. In the Berkeley Standard remanufacturing process, each alternator is completely disassembled, and every component is cleaned, tested, and replaced if not to 100% OE specifications. No step is skipped in our remanufacturing process. We replace high-wear items such as solenoid leads, rubber seals, brushes, bushings, and springs with new OE-specification parts. We re-magnetize the magnets and rewind the starter motor coils to ensure the highest level of power and reliability. Each starter is tested and inspected multiple times at the component level and as a complete unit to meet or exceed all OE standards including vibration, voltage, output, and fit. Our remanufacturing facility and processes are ISO 9001/TS 16949 certified. We offer a limited 2-year 24,000 mile warranty on our starters.
